Scanwood has been active in the timber industry since 1982.
Since 1982 we have been active in the timber industry as an agency or sales office for sawmills and planing mills in Scandinavia, Germany, the Baltic States and the Balkans. We mainly work with the wood types Spruce, Pine, European Larch and Oak. We supply customers in the Benelux, Germany and several other European countries.
Our goal is to develop efficiency between demand and supply of wood products. We are completely independent and endeavour
to organize sustainable business for our suppliers and customers, based on our expertise and knowledge of the market. Our ambition is to be a professional intermediary who contributes to the stable supply of wood products.
We only supply wood products from sustainably managed forests, and the vast majority of the products we supply are certified in accordance with the FSC® or PEFC™ trademarks.

OAK LAMELLAS
We have been supplying the flooring industry with oak for more than 20 years. Besides sawn oak we have specialized in oak lamellas for top layers, which we mainly source from the Balkans. We now represent a large group of producers who use top quality round wood from sustainably managed forests for the manufacture of a broad specification (from short to long and from narrow to wide). Scanwood supplies the flooring industry with these products in several EU countries, with direct supply or from our own stock in NL. This stockholding enables fast delivery, including for smaller quantities.
SUSTAINABLE
We endorse the principles for sustainable forest management and are therefore FSC® and PEFC™ certified. In addition, we work entirely according to EUTR guidelines and, as a member of the Dutch Association of Timber Agents (NATA), we are a co-participant of Greendeal “Bewust met hout”.
